The 18th European Public Health Conference takes place from 12 to 14 November 2025 at the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, under the theme “Investing for sustainable health and well-being.”
This annual event gathers researchers, policymakers and public health professionals from across Europe to share experiences, showcase evidence-based initiatives, and explore strategies for improving population health and reducing inequalities.
HORUS contribution
We are really proud to be part of this year’s edition, represented by Vanja Vasiljev (University of Rijeka), who presents a poster within the session “Environment and health / Urban health.”
Poster title: Empowering urban vulnerable populations to reduce NCD risk: The HORUS pilot study in Rijeka
The poster highlights the work being developed in the Rijeka pilot site, where HORUS is engaging local communities to promote healthier lifestyles and reduce the risk of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) among vulnerable populations.
By combining behavioural interventions and inclusive co-design strategies, the project aims to empower citizens and demonstrate how urban environments can support better health outcomes.
Through this contribution, HORUS continues to strengthen its presence within the European public health community and to share practical evidence on how urban design and behaviour change can work together to build healthier, fairer cities for all.
