HORUS Project Highlighted at the Annual Faculty of Medicine Celebration Days 2024
On December 6th, 2024, our colleagues from the MEDRI team had the opportunity to present the HORUS project during the Annual Faculty of Medicine Celebration Days at the University of Rijeka.
The event featured the Public Health Professional Meeting: Improving Preventive Health Care in the Republic of Croatia, which brought together 120 participants, including students, healthcare professionals, and university staff, to address key challenges in the field of public health.
Professor Tomislav Rukavina, Head of the Department of Social Medicine and Epidemiology, introduced the HORUS project, setting the stage for an engaging discussion. This was followed by a presentation by Professor Vanja Vasiljev, leader of WP4, titled “The City of Rijeka as a Laboratory for Urban Interventions: The HORUS Project.”
In addition, Denis Juraga represented HORUS during a poster session held in the Faculty’s Aula, showcasing the project’s objectives and progress.
The day’s outreach extended beyond the event venue, as Professor Rukavina appeared on Croatian national television channel HRT1’s Good Morning Croatia, where the insights about the HORUS project were shared, further amplifying its visibility.
December 6th, 2024, was truly a big day for the HORUS project!
