CONTROVERSIES SYMPOSIUM 2026

The three-day symposium CONTROVERSIES 2026 – CONTROVERSIES IN ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION AND CARDIO-RENO-NEURO-METABOLIC MEDICINE was held from 6 to 8 February 2026 at the Almeria Centre in Zagreb, with about one hundred experts in cardiac health, focusing on cardio-reno-metabolic syndrome, attending in person, while additional participants followed the programme online.

In the innovative «TIK-TOK» sessions dedicated to young researchers and students, supported by their mentors – experts in the field – they presented key clinical dilemmas and the latest research in a concise, clear, and interactive manner. Denis Juraga participated in the TIK-TOK 18 section with the presentation titled «Mechanisms of Behaviour Change for the Prevention of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases in the HORUS Project,» and Dalila Sadiku presented «Urban Environment and Health.»

Prof. Vanja Vasiljev presented the HORUS project with a lecture (Meet the Expert 2) entitled: Social Prescribing – Non-Medical Factors That Improve Health.

Panellists from the MEDRI research team participated in Roundtable Discussion No. 7: Community Medicine and Urban Health. Prof. V. Vasiljev served as moderator, with Prof. Tomislav Rukavina and Assoc. Prof. Darko Roviš as panellists
