HORUS collaborates with EU Navigate project

The EU Navigate project has become one of the sister initiatives with which we will collaborate in the HORUS project.

A project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, which investigates navigation programs in different EU countries, those programs that support elderly people suffering from cancer and other health problems so that they can live as well as possible in their homes.

In our society there are more and more elderly people with cancer every day and both they and their family caregivers are entitled to receive timely access to health and social care services. However, many of them do not receive them and do not always know they exist.

The aim of the EU Navigate project is to develop NavCare-EU, a navigation intervention that will improve the quality of life and well-being of these individuals and their families by promoting timely and equitable access to health and social care services.

Over the next five years, the project will evaluate the effectiveness of NavCare-EU, as well as its cost-benefit ratio in improving the quality of life and well-being of older people with cancer and their family caregivers, and its implementation in practice.
