We announce a new sister initiative of the Horus project: In-Touch Horizon Europe.
A European project that aims to improve the quality of life of people with advanced dementia.
Led by University College Cork (UCC), a research group from 13 institutions in the EU, UK and Canada will investigate a comprehensive non-pharmacological intervention for dementia with a study to be tested in 56 nursing homes in seven countries and will focus on palliative care, staff training and improving well-being through multi-sensory activities tailored to residents and their families.
Through the development of innovative, non-pharmacological interventions, this study will prioritize comfort, quality of life and social engagement for people with dementia and their families.
