On June 12th, 2025, the 12th International Scientific-Professional Symposium “Health for All? Health in Urban Settings” was successfully held at the Grand Hotel Bonavia in Rijeka, Croatia.
This high-profile event was organized by the research team from the Department of Social Medicine and Epidemiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka. It took place immediately after the HORUS Consortium Meeting, bringing together professionals, researchers, and policy stakeholders from across Europe.
The symposium addressed key topics on health inequalities in urban environments, with a strong emphasis on the preliminary findings from the HORUS project in Rijeka, the project’s pilot city. The event featured scientific presentations, panel discussions, and the official handover of the publication “Health Barometer of the Residents of the City of Rijeka” to the Mayor, Professor Iva Rinčić.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Croatian Institute of Public Health, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka, the Teaching Institute of Public Health of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the Croatian League for Hypertension, the City of Rijeka, and the Croatian Society for Hypertension for their support.
