The HORUS project was represented at Bloomberg CityLab 2026, an international gathering organised by Bloomberg Philanthropies together with The Aspen Institute, bringing together mayors, policymakers, innovators and urban leaders from around the world to discuss the future of cities.
The event explored how urban environments can respond to some of today’s most pressing global challenges, with discussions ranging from social infrastructure and inclusive public spaces to healthy ageing, digital innovation and community-centred urban transformation.
As part of the programme, Ruth Gow (BAX) was invited to attend and facilitate the discussion:
“How is Data Improving Residents’ Health?”
The session focused on the role of data in understanding and improving urban health outcomes, highlighting how evidence-based approaches can help cities design more effective, inclusive and health-oriented policies.
The discussions strongly connected with the objectives of HORUS, particularly the importance of understanding how urban environments influence health and well-being, and how data-driven insights can support healthier and more equitable cities.
