HORUS Factsheet 2: DIGITAL TOOLS

We are pleased to share our second HORUS factsheet, focusing on two digital tools that contribute to the project’s mission of promoting healthier urban environments and healthier lifestyles.

The document introduces Wakamola, developed by the Universitat Politècnica de València, a conversational app designed to help users reflect on habits related to diet, physical activity and lifestyle through simple and engaging interactions.

It also presents the Healthy Cities Generator, developed by Healthy Cities, a decision-support tool that helps urban planners, health professionals and policymakers understand how urban environments can influence health outcomes. Within HORUS, the tool has been further enhanced through the development of a Citizen Engagement Module, designed to support the participation of citizens in urban health and planning processes.

The factsheet explains the purpose of each tool, their main functionalities and how they support the broader objectives of HORUS at the intersection of urban planning, public health and digital innovation.

This resource is designed for researchers, practitioners, policymakers and stakeholders interested in urban health, digital technologies and the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
